4 days 3 nights
Are you ready for an adventure of a lifetime? Join us on our 4-day climb to the peak of North Africa’s highest mountain, Mount Toubkal. Starting with a brief exploration of the vibrant city of Marrakech, we will then embark on a stunning trek through the Atlas Mountains. Experience the awe-inspiring sunrise from the summit and be rewarded with 360-degree views of the Marrakesh plain to the Sahara. Along the way, you’ll have the chance to see traditional Berber villages, lush oasis valleys, and high pastures. This trek is sure to be one of your best long weekends yet.
Upon your arrival in Marrakech, our team will warmly welcome you at the airport and transfer you to your riad, a charming traditional Moroccan house built around a courtyard garden. From this cozy base in the historic Medina, you will have the opportunity to explore the vibrant markets, maze-like alleys, and the remarkable UNESCO-listed Jemaa el Fna Square, which promises to be an unforgettable experience.
On Day 2, we depart from Marrakech and drive towards the stunning Toubkal Massif. As we journey towards Imlil, we are surrounded by picturesque valleys and traditional Berber villages. After arriving in Imlil, we begin our trek along the Mizane Valley towards Aremd and the shrine of Sidi Chamarouch. We continue our journey to the Toukbal Refuge (3206m) through rocky cliffs and mule tracks, taking in breathtaking views of the snowline along the way. The night is spent at the Toukbal Refuge, surrounded by the beauty of the Atlas Mountains. Approx 5hrs walking.
Today we aim to conquer the summit of Jebel Toubkal, the highest peak in North Africa. Our journey begins with an ascent up the south cirque, crossing streams and navigating scree fields. The views are stunning, and the sense of accomplishment is worth the challenge. From the summit, enjoy panoramic vistas of the surrounding landscape, from the High Atlas to the Sahara. Descending, we retrace our steps to Imlil before heading back to Marrakech.
On Day 4, start your day with a leisurely breakfast at your Riad and bid farewell to your fellow trekkers. Your airport transfer is included for your departure. However, if your flight is in the evening, take advantage of the extra time and explore the charming city of Marrakech before you head back home.
